The centre of attention is the sound. On which medium and in which quality do I want to record and mix?

Client comfort:
The historical 125 year-old building offers plenty of space for your creativity and a suitably non-sterile working atmosphere. A large number of nearby restaurants and catering services will assure your well-being. We could also book a room in a nearby hotel of  any budget range.

Recording setup:
Number of tracks: Up to 56 physical tracks ADDA; - And no, we don’t want to count the virtual ones!
Digital: Digidesign ProTools HD3, HD2 Accel, Mix Plus, Emagic Logic Audio, Merging Technology Pyramix, Mac Quad, Apogee ADDA 16x u. Digidesign HD 192, 96 converters and many more.
Analogue: Tape machines: Studer A 80 24 Track, 2“, Mechlabor 16 Track 2“ and 1/4“
Preamps and outboard equipment: see technical sheet. We offer a multitude of hand- crafted high-end preamps and various utilities that are not available in stores. These are sonically superior to the commercially available counterparts, due to their completely different conceptual philosophies and carefully selected components.
Monitoring: Surround: Genelec 5.1 1032A with a 1029 subwoofer. Stereo: Geithain RL900 – 3-Way coaxial.

Recording and mixing :
The big recording room“Space“ (700 square feet / 65 square meters)  with ist two separate booths and plexiglass separation walls offers you optimal possibilities to record your music. The superb acoustics offer a captivating sound. A delightful amount of daylight additionally provides comfortable working conditions. The control room of „Cockpit A“ contains a multitude of contemporary and vintage equipment. Our extraordinary VTC TL Audio Valve mixing console, high-class analogue outboard equipment and a vast selection of superb microphones will turn your recordings into an impressive sonic experience. The combination of valve consoles and tape machines create a saturated, warm and individual sound that elevates itself from the usual digital recordings. Convince yourself!

High quality recordings:
„Space“ – our much-vaunted and highly acclaimed acoustic delight. Our neutral recording room is perfectly suited for all sorts of acoustic recordings due to its short reverberation which avoids a sterile or dead sounding room. Thus one can flexibly adjust the desired room-size (from a small chamber to a large hall or arena) at the mixing stage with our high-end reverb unit TC M6000.

What's new?
To increase the comfort of recording, mixing and mastering, we are currently expanding our studio area with additional studios and recording rooms. There will be twice as many possibilities to record simultaneously with eye contact provided. Among other goodies, there will be a large studio/concert hall with a height of 7 meters (23 feet), which you already can book.

Surround mixing:
To every stereo-production we offer a mixdown in 5.1 surround sound, which will prepare you for the future. These days surround mixes  are becoming the standard for DVD and SACD.

Surround recording:
Our long, extended studies with discrete surrond-microphone recordings have provided us with grounded experience in this vastly unexplored area. Some think of our engagement as being a little exaggerated ;-) Due to our own fascination with this technology, we can offer you a variety of interesting recording modes which will give you a new listening experience. Steinway A grand piano, Pearl Masterseries drumkit with cymbals by Paiste Dark Series, a multitude of synthesizers and percussions.

Mastering:
Of course we can master your stereo or surround mixes ready for broadcasting.
